Manish Malhotra is the Founder, CEO and largest shareholder of Income Discovery, a proven AI-powered platform that makes complex retirement decumulation simple.

Prior to forming Income Discovery, Manish was a Sr. Vice President at Citigroup Global Wealth Management (Smith Barney and Private Bank) leading the application architecture function for strategic initiatives. Before Citigroup, he architected market and credit risk systems at Nomura Securities and Bank of America.

Manish started his career underwriting credit for greenfield projects at ICICI in India, before switching to financial technology at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson’s Indian subsidiary.

Manish holds an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur (India) and an Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kharagpur).

Manish is a current member of the DCIIA Retirement Income Committee’s Leadership Team.

As the Chief Analytics Officer, Stephan leads research into advanced modeling techniques and AI applications in retirement income planning, monitoring, and management. Additionally, Stephan leads the analytics team in the methodology development and validation of AIDA to certify its financial advice and satisfy diligence by model risk teams and regulators.

Stephan earned an M.S. in Data Science from Northwestern University with a focus on statistical modeling, machine learning and artificial intelligence. He also holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance, and Marketing from York College of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University’s International Business School.

Stephan is a dedicated problem solver with a strong interest in explaining complex analysis in simple terms to make challenging decisions tractable for financial advisors and their clients.

Elias leads the software development team at Income Discovery with 25 years of experience as both an architect and engineer. In that time, he has developed a deep understanding of his discipline. Elias mastered many aspects of software development and technology leadership, equally proficient at management, design, implementation, and delivery. He has extensive understanding of Income Discovery products.

Before joining Income Discovery, Elias was with Verizon Terremark, where he led the Verizon Enterprise cloud networking orchestration team, developed cloud REST APIs, and contributed to the high-availability features. His earlier experience is spread across Dossia, Telekol, and Nokia, an early leader in mobile phone technology.

Elias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Northeastern University.

Stacy brings proven product management within Financial Services to Income Discovery.

She works directly with the Firm’s clients and internal software developers on the design, development, and implementation of new products, as well as enhancements to and maintenance of existing products.

Stacy is also the Chief Compliance Officer for the firm as a registered investment advisor with responsibilities for annual regulatory filings, risk assessments and maintaining the firm’s organizational policies and internal controls.

Prior to Income Discovery, Stacy spent 20 years at E*TRADE, where she worked in Operations and Product Management. As a Vice President, she increased the firm’s retirement business and led a team of high-performing product managers concentrated on individual and employer-sponsored retirement plans that drove customer acquisition and deepened engagement.

Stacy has a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of California at Davis. Her credentials include Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and Accredited Pension Administrator (APA).

Rakesh began with Income Discovery as a strategic advisor and early investor, and he is now Chairman of the Board. He is also the Chairman of the Board at Spherenomics, a venture incubation company, and the Chairman of the Board at Innovairre, a leading marketing services company.

His previous roles include Senior Advisor to The Carlyle Group; Senior Advisor and Board Member of the Oriental Trading Company, a $600 million direct e-commerce marketer for educational and party goods; and President and CEO and Board Member of Hanover Direct, Inc.

Rakesh is a global executive and has worked largely in Japan, China, India, Canada and the U.S. His leadership and distinction have been demonstrated in consumer product, e-commerce and consumer finance businesses.

Rakesh received his undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi; his M.S. degree at Brown University; and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Over the past 30 years, Shankar has had an exciting career in founding and building a financial services company. He founded Viteos in 2002; it went on to become a premier state of the art fund administration business. In 2019, he sold it to Intertrust and eventually sold Intertrust to CSC. Recently Shankar transitioned from an executive role at the company to a Board Advisor position. Earlier, Shankar was CEO of Silverline Technologies, a multinational technology services company, which was the first IT services company from India to list on the NYSE.

Since 2016, Shankar has been an avid supporter and donor to the Akanksha Foundation. His belief is that good quality education is the single largest solution to lift people out of poverty, which is a concept that Akanksha is built around. Recently Shankar assumed the role of Board President of Akanksha Education Fund.

Shankar has a degree in Science and Solid-State Electronics and an MBA from the University of Mumbai, India.

Shaun is a senior executive in the financial services industry and brings over 35 years of diverse experience to Income Discovery. He has served as a trusted advisor to several CEOs, and is valued for his experience, perspective, judgment, and objectivity.

Shaun most recently served as Senior Managing Director of Voya Investment Management where he was responsible for Distribution, Product Management and Marketing for its $225 billion global institutional and financial intermediary business with annual sales of $20+ billion and earnings of $200+ million. During his career, Shaun has held a variety of corporate and general management roles in wealth and investment management at Aetna, ING and Voya including roles as Director of Corporate Finance, International Treasury and M&A and Business Head for Defined Contribution and Annuity businesses.

Shaun holds a B.A. in Economics from College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. from the Johnson School of Business, Cornell University.

He guided it to become the leading financial services company that supports tax professionals and delivers comprehensive services such as securities, insurance, money management and banking. While at HD Vest, Roger was named by Accounting Today as one of the top names to know in the accounting industry.

Roger is currently a member of the board of eSecLending, a provider of securities financing, collateral and liquidity services to institutional investors and clearing organizations worldwide, and Chairman of the Board for Door, Inc. a residential real estate brokerage firm providing a vertically integrated technology platform to reduce transaction costs and improve satisfaction in the home ownership experience. He has been a strategic advisor to Income Discovery since 2020.

V. Chandrashekhar (Chandy) is a recently retired Senior Partner of Strategy& PwC.

Over a 30-year career at Strategy& PwC, Booz Allen, and Boston Consulting Group, Chandy has advised leading global financial institutions on strategy, performance improvement and transformation. He also spent over four years at Goldman Sachs in a strategy and planning role.

More recently, he is investing in, and advising fintech companies on strategy and growth topics.

Tai-Chin has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry, having held executive leadership roles in the United States and abroad.

Tai-Chin’s multi-disciplined experience and multi-functional approach underpins her solution-oriented investment approach. Through her experience as a member of both Fidelity’s Asia Operating Committee and Charles Schwab Asset Management’s Investment Committee, Tai-Chin developed a unique combination of investment and distribution expertise that benefits a wide range of clients. In addition, her Operations background, spanning various geopolitical environments, enables her to take a global perspective in offering options and solutions for clients.

Since departing from Fidelity, Tai-Chin has dedicated her energy in organic farming, education, retirement planning and medical aspects of finance to promote the general well being of end clients. Her work focuses on investing directly in pre-public stage companies who have clear missions to create good and on providing strategic directions to private companies in the areas of growth and operating leverage.

Thomas Rowles is a strategic advisor and investor at Income Discovery.

Thomas is retired from KPMG, where he was Partner-in-Charge and National Director for KPMG's valuation practice when it was launched in 1987. He also served many years as the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and West Region Partner in charge of the Corporate Transactions groups. Corporate Transactions included valuation, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation services; as well as forensic, corporate recovery, and financial due diligence practices. In 2001, Tom relocated to New York City where he became risk management partner for the United States and Latin America Consulting groups.

Since retirement, Thomas has served as a treasurer and in other leadership roles for several boards. He currently resides in Atlanta where he enjoys spending time with his seven grandchildren and playing soccer.
